Halloween Costume Contest Makes Everyone a Winner at Conkers

Tis the season to be spooky! Halloween turned Hollyween this October when Conkers cobbled together some of their favourite outfits to compete in the costume contest at the home.

The night was a scare fest to remember with spine-chilling costumes and eerie decorations that transformed the home into a classic haunted house.

The creativity on display was astounding! With jesters to creepy clowns wearing ruffles and wigs, to zombies and skeletons, everyone brought their scare game! The costumes were so impressive that the Conkers team found it impossible to choose just one winner, so every adult who partied and participated received some tasty treats.

As the evening crept up on the guests, it was time to take to the dancefloor and all things that go for a boogie in the night showed off their best monster moves in The Great Big Monster Mash Dance-Off!

Photos were snapped throughout the evening to add to the haunted gallery and the photo booth was a major hit with all of the ghoulish guests, creating memories to show their family and friends.

A cauldron of games was bubbled and brewed before the day, with games set up such as throw the hoop over the witch’s hat, which people had a lot of spooky fun with during the party.

Conkers already cannot wait for next year’s haunted festivities!

A Hollyween party also took part at Brambles, who played haunted musical statues together with themed music.

Rowan Court decided to set up their very own elegant masquerade ball, a tradition that dates back centuries.

Many of the homes, Hollybank School and ELMS also hosted their own events, decorating their corridors with pumpkins, cauldrons, horror film themed bunting, and artwork made by our adults, children and young people.
