We are a charity founded in 1954 and have a number of adult and children’s residential homes, including an outstanding school, and on-site speech therapy, physiotherapy and hydro-therapy services.

We have achieved a reputation of attaining very high service standards, working with children, young people and adults who have complex and multiple physical disabilities and associated communication, sensory and learning difficulties.

Day-to-day duties

Are you passionate about food and customer service? Join our dynamic catering team where you’ll play a crucial role in delighting our customers with enjoyable meals and exceptional service. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • From hot meals to fresh salads, sandwiches, and sweet treats, you’ll play an important part in the variety of what we offer. Your creativity will shine as you bake, decorate, and prepare dishes to perfection.
  • We take food safety seriously. You’ll follow health and safety guidelines, as well as COSHH regulations, ensuring that every meal is not only delicious but also safe for our customers.
  • Keeping our displays well-stocked is essential. You’ll manage inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste, ensuring we’re always ready to serve.
  • As part of our team, you’ll handle cash transactions, balance the float, and contribute to the smooth financial operation of our catering service.
  • Following service instructions meticulously, you’ll maintain high standards. Whether it’s plating a dish or setting up refreshments for meetings, your attention to detail will make every meal memorable.
  • Our 5-star rating depends on cleanliness. You’ll keep our kitchen and dining areas sparkling clean, and create an inviting atmosphere for our guests.
  • Collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with the catering manager and your fellow team members, fostering a positive environment where everyone thrives.
