Role: Senior School Nurse (full-time)
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum (FTE & DOE)
Hours: 8:30am – 4pm, Monday to Friday. Term-time only
Hollybank Trust, based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. We are a charity founded in 1954 and have a number of adult and children’s residential homes, including an outstanding school, nursery, on-site speech therapy, physiotherapy and hydro-therapy services. We have achieved a reputation of attaining very high service standards, working with children, young people and adults who have complex and multiple physical disabilities and associated communication, sensory and learning disabilities.
Overview of Role
- To assess, develop, implement and review health care plans using specialist nursing skills to meet the needs of children and young people with complex physical and health needs, sensory impairments and associated learning difficulties.
- To promote person centred care, dignity and compassionate support.
- To communicate information effectively to other professionals, staff, families and external agencies.
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary / multi agency team.
- To act as advocate for the child/young person and their family, including promoting and protecting their interests, privacy, dignity and respect.
