Why enter the Eccup 10? Two weeks to go until the race!

Would you like to enter one of the most well-attended road races in Leeds? There are still just over two weeks to go to enter the Hollybank Eccup 10 race on Sunday 6th July! Here’s how to enter: https://racebest.com/races/2rfeg
The race is set up every year by the Abbey Runners and takes place on a scenic route weaving in and out some beautiful country lanes around the areas surrounding Eccup reservoir.

Why take part in the Eccup 10?

Being able to make most of the scenery whilst improving your personal best, or whilst just working on making running a part of your normal fitness routine, are just some of the reasons why you might like to enter the race, but if you’re also looking to take part in a race that is for a good cause, this race could be the one for you!

In what way will taking part in the Eccup 10 have a positive impact on your local community?

Your entry fee for the Eccup 10 will be donated to both Hollybank Trust and St Vincent’s Centre.
When you enter, you can also choose whether or not you would like to purchase a high quality technical t-shirt as a memento, or have a tree planted on your behalf for an additional £6. This money will go to the two local charities mentioned above, helping them to improve the services that they provide.

You could win a prize!

Eccup 10 have some prizes up for grabs, with prizes for both men and women for the first 3 overall, V35 and V40. The first two V45,V50 and V55, and the first V60, V65, V70 and V75 etc. They also have a team prize (first 3 club members) for both male and female teams.
There is also £100 on offer for breaking either the men or women’s course records:
– The men’s record is held by Yared Hagos, 51.18, (Bradford Airedale), set in 2011
-The women’s record is held by Tracey Morris, 56.26, (Valley Striders), set in 2007
The hosts of the event will also be giving out spot prizes at random throughout the day!
